I need to return some unused unopened frozen foods(stupid bulk purchase!) to supermarket- but i don't have receipts. However , i did pay by credit card- but i don't have credit card receipt either !.
Will refund be accepted on processing of my credit card? - and can i do it at any store location -or specifically only where i purchased from?

a store does not have to accept any return unless faulty. Some do out of goodwill though a receipt would normally be required as proof of purchase.

Id call the store you bought from for advice, but dont be disappointed when they say no.
I'm afraid I'm with doc on this tali, frozen foods I can't see being accepted back, the store would only have your word for how long they had been in the freezer or out as the case may be, damaged, yes, tainted, yes, past the date, yes but a run of the mill return, I doubt it
there is not a cat in hells chance o anyone taking drozen food back of you, you could hav eleft it in the boot o your car overnight and not the freezer
there is also not a cat in hells chance of this keyboard lasting another Preston Guild
Would you want to buy frozen food that has been in and out of the freezer, cause I would`nt. The shop has an obligation to its customers to make sure food is safe. Use it or give it away.
Hi tali,

Had a word with mrs bear on this one......she says/thinks that if tins, bottles etc.... POSSIBLY the store would change them.....for frozen and even fresh items, once it leaves the store, you will find it very hard, if at all, for the store to take them back, as they dont know where you've stored them yourself, and policy not to take them on return.
Did you just buy too much?
I wouldn't take it back as it can't be resold- I wouldn't know whether you'd defrosted and refrozen it.
Once it leaves the store, it is not new or good for re-sale anymore, is it? Who would want to buy it or use it?
in a shop they have a 15 minute rule, there is no frozen item can be out of a freezer after that time, it would have to be discarded, why did you buy it?
tali are you going to answer us please?

I'm probably sticking my neck out here, but I'm 99% certain that the Sale of Goods Act says that a retailer is not obliged to accept returned goods unless there is a fault present. Just returning the goods because the customer inadvertently bought too many, the wrong colour, wrong size, or whatever isn't a valid reason for a refund. It's all down to the goodwill of the shop.
you are right bb, that's correct
