Philips Cordless Phone
4 Answers
I have an old cordless phone, probably around three/four years old and no longer have the instruction booklet. It rings for half a tone on an incoming call, and then stops although someone is always on the other end. The other phones in the house ring OK. I have tried plugging in the cradle into the socket again, switching all the buttons on and off etc. and it doesn't change. Could anyone tell me what to do ?

My cordless phone always rings the external ring tone for half a tone before recognising the incoming caller number, then the tone will change to the internal ring tone. Internal ring tones sound when the incoming callers number and name has been saved on the phones phonebook (i.e. friends and family).
