Hi I got a push bike in the summer for my birthday and stupidly left it outside all winter, now the chain is all rusty ( my sons bike too) is there anyway I can save them, really annoyed at myself for being so silly,

Use "naval jelly" rust remover. then keep it well oiled. This product is harmful to painted surfaces but if the chain is rusted the damage is already done. Or you could just get new chains they are fairly easy to install but you may need to cut the chain to the proper length and they make a chain cutter for that.

Give it a good spraying with WD40 and leave it overnight.  In the morning after a good clean up you should be able to assess how bad it is.
