My Swan Teasmade is playing up!!!

Not sure this is the place to post my problem but here goes.

 

I have a well used Swan teasmade which works fine. Only problem is the ticking noise of  the clock. It is so bad now that it is difficult to get to sleep. Does anyone have any idea how I can cure the problem please. It would be a shame to buy a new one as apart from the clock it is in great working order.
