Hi, if there is any tax left on it and you want to claim it back make sure that you take a photo copy of it before you send the form and tax disc to DVLA. My son made the mistake of sending the form and disc to them without copying it. Then he got nothing back so contacted them and they said they couldn't do anything about it as he didn't have the disc to prove it even though he had sent it to them. They told him that they destroy all discs sent to them for security reasons so you don't get it back to do anything about it. So you would need the copy to prove you had it in the first place. Hope this makes sense.
