How do tin openers work? How is the lid bit actually removed? I've been trying to work out this for years.

The circular blade pierces the lid. As you wind the handle the gripping wheel turns the tin and the blade cuts the metal. Once the tin has done a full revolution that blade has cut all the way round and the lid comes off.

Why dont you ask vinny100!
You sad person, cant even think up an original user name,I actually feel sorry for you.Have you ever considered treatment!!  I think you need to be in the spotlight!!feeling a bit insecure Tonight Mate!! catch you later Vinny.
In a pickle, cant be you, christ i hope not?
Question Author
What on earth are you on about?
So we have changed from vinnyI00 to referer101 have we?
AB ED - vinnyl00 has just changed their username to referer101 - are you listening?
Has now changed from vinnyl00, to referer100 to imposter & you can't do anything about it then Ed?
Question Author
Why should he? I'm not using anyone's name, and I've asked a question which has been answered. To my satisfaction.

OK vinnyl00 - referer100 - imposter & IDIOTIC.

AB Ed - these 4 imposter names all in one evening. This site is a joke!

Smudge, I think you're missing the point. IDIOTIC is not an imposter. So why are you labelling the name as such? Just because a name is changed? The site offers a name changing facility....it has been changed to IDIOTIC. What is wrong with that?

Because the amount of times you have done this over the week-end, is intended to try to confuse AB members. Of course we're too quick on the mark for you & the likes of you.

Tell me this: "Why do you feel the need to keep changing your username?".

Question Author
I think the expression you're looking for is 'too quick off the mark'.
Please note that expressions like 'you and the likes of you' are abusive, condescending, and are designed to insult.' I really think you should not be on this site, you seem to post mainly to sow seeds of hatred and conflict.

*off the mark.

It's irritating 'little' people like you who incite frustration, hatred & conflict.
