The speeding documentation was not returned in time.I then received court papers. I was not with holding information it was an oversite. I replied to the court papers, apologised for the delay and pleaded not guilty, explaining I had been admitted into hospital at the time of the speeding offence and advised the actual name of the driver. The actual driver had also signed the documentation and confirmed they were driving at the time. I still got a 180 fine( now paid) and the 3points ms90. I have never had to deal with anything like this before and I feel out of my depth. I dont feel I deserve to have an MS90 .As both the driver and I had admiited it in writting to the court. How best can I get this changed or at least amended to speeding.

Data protection. A UK directive and law derived from a european one. They cannot hold personally identifiable about you which is false. Ask them for all of this information they hold on you, check it, and if it's wrong, tell them to change it. They have to under law. go to www.dataprotection.gov, and put in their details to find out what specifics they hold on you (ie they specifically hold on you: from the 'register'.) Use the site to find out how to write the letter. By comparing to their entry on the register, you can be sure they aint witholding anything. They WILL change it if you approach it this way, for them not to do so is a serious offence.
