Hi All

As many of you know, hubby is unwell and likely unable to return to work for quite a while.

He has a couple of things that have payment protection and we are going to contact them.

Does anyone know what happens when you ring? Obviously they need to know why you are making a claim, but do they need documents or anything? And roughly how long does it take?

Thanks guys. (Might not answer replies straight but will be back later).

hi, you might want to look at the policies first - some of them an exclusion period (for example a few months, or until ssp runs out)
For some reason when i've been following what's been happening i thought he was retired ::) sorry
Same as bednobs, have you got copies of the policies you can read through to be more informed before you ring?

Is his illness related to any pre-existing (to the PPI) conditions and, if so, do you know if there were declared before the PPI was taken out and whether they are covered?

Thanks guys.

The policies are not new. The illness is a new one and so was not declared. Will read policies before ringing (if I can understand them that is!!).
