Reset would cover someone buying goods knowing that they were or were likely to be stolen for example. This is equivalent to handling.
In English and Welsh law receiving is used to cover more involvement in criminal activity such as 'fencing' stolen property. It also carries a higher penalty. So. Although it is more similar in terms of the word derivation it is not the equivalent offence.
