Which Uk institution/organisation has the largest number of individuals on its database? -this CAN include archived/historical records
However, the records must be at a SINGLE location and NOT spread at regional offices
I assume it some Govt organisation?

I guess it could be whatever department holds the details for National Insurance records
national insurance database only has those above 15.

i recon its a national health service database.
National Insurance numbers are allocated at birth (well, registration!), but not sent out until said child is 16.
National Health - every birth recorded at source for benefits.
Good point sara.
How about the General Register Office in Southport? This has all the records of births, deaths, marriages from 1837.
Slightly off topic but the Land Registry has the largest property database in the world. Just incase you were interested !!
