I'm puzzled!!.
I've booked a week away in a holiday cottage in Devon for a group of 6 adults and 4 children under 13 years old.I've been advised to get insurance that will cover us for cancellation and damage etc whilst we are their.
The normall insurance that i've had in the past has been for a holiday abroad and has taken a few minutes to sort out.
I carnt seem to find anything that will cover us for this short break.....Help.

Regards

Any travel insurance will cover you for the prospect of cancellation. Not sure about the damage bit. From experience with a cottage company last year(Lyme Bay Holidays) I had to pay the full amount even though I cancelled, due to one of the parties illness deterioting, in plenty of time. The company said they did not get anyone to re book the cottage and so Ihad to complete things. You maybe lucky and get soemone else to re-book your cottage if you do have to cancel.

Thanks for the answer .
I'm more concerned about damages to their property etc that (hopefully wont) happen whilst your away.
As you say ,normal holiday insurance will take care of cancellations etc.

Most (? certainly every one I've seen) travel insurance has a personal legal liability section that covers damage to your holiday accommodation
