The Ques Wasn't Asked For The Quote
I changed my Contents Insurance because Saga had put my premium up from £5 to £8.
I got a quote online from RIAS and they were half what Saga wanted, so I accepted it, paid the deposit and the first instalment has been paid by DD.
I received the policy documents today and flicking through them and under the heading, Confirmation of Declaration Questions, item 9 says,"No resident of the property has been declared bankrupt.....True"
I did another quote online and confirmed my thoughts, that there was no question about bankruptcy in the process.
Does declaring yourself bankrupt affect a premium, bearing in mind I made myself bankrupt and it wasn't forced upon me.
Should I tell the company? TIA

Do it on the phone and they will tell you there and then whether there is a little more to be added to the premium. Its unlikely to be much if its only contents insurance, but you can discuss it with them and if necessary demand to speak to a Manager to complain that this question wasn't asked of you on the internet application.
Good luck.
