Hmmm. Took out Homecare (Kitchen ins cover) with British Gas a few years ago as they use to come the next day and if the part required was on the van,fixed that day, excellent service, now they come in three days time at the earliest. However have been informed by them that if you pay a premium they will come the next day. Have also today been informed that if you now wish for a Saturday boiler service call there is also a premium to be paid whereas use to be no extra charge. Nice add ons British Gas. Rant over.

And when they do come they might just take one look at the boiler, and say, "Can't get spares for that any more." and depart.
Yes, I had the old 'your boiler is obsolete and we can't get the parts' spiel last week - it didn't really ring all that true after the guy who came late last year to do the Annual Service told me he had the same boiler as me!!
"You need a new one, guv, and that'll be five grand, thank you."
