Are they fully grown?

Well I don't have any issues with my insurance and I have lime trees surrounding my house
I've never been asked about trees when getting insurance but if they haven't caused a problem yet I can't see it being a problem.

Phone a random insurance firm looking for a quote and mention the trees and see what they say.

There is no definitive answer to this, but the following might be helpful to you. Taking it out could cause more problems than leaving it.

jordy - you asked a question and i answered!
Given that the trees have been outside our house for over 100 years I suspect their roots are a lot bigger than 4 inches
