I'm currently in Australia and am now planning my return cruise. I had issues with travel insurance when I left the UK as my Saga policy covered me only if I stayed on board for the complete round trip. On the day of embarkation I managed to get a bespoke policy but that company will not cover me this year due to my age, 76. Has anyone here encountered these problems?
Staysure quoted between £247 (basic) to £355 (premium) for a 75 year old cruising from UK to Sydney for 58 days, aged 75 no health conditions. It might be worth giving them a call, I couldn't tailor the online quote for Australia to UK

Compare the Market gave quotes ranging from £284 from Explorer from UK to Sydney 66 nights, aged 75, no pre-existing medical conditions.
It will be worth while using a comparison site in Australia.
any health conditions- they will exclude
but IF anything happens, struck by lightning, recorrent death, heat induced fitting, pregnancy or whatever
they will say it is due to one of the excluded conditions
and pocket the cash - rather obviously
We have used all clear this time but as bednobs says many companies will not insure people when they are already on holiday or in different country before taking it out.
