Travel Insurance
Imagine you take out short term travel insurance to cover the dates you are away.
If you are delayed returning home by a day or so, perhaps ATC strikes, aircraft technical problems or an Icelandic volcanic cloud, are you not insured once you have exceeded your planned return date?

Travel insurance policies expect you to claim comensation for delayed flights from the airline but if you are stuck abroad after your planned return and have a medical emergency, or have a loss or theft are you still covered?
