...stabbings here in the UK are the result of youngsters who have been bullied deciding they won't take it anymore?

The worm turns.

I think it's more likely the bullies are doing the UK stabbings rather than them being stabbed in retalliation.

I don't think little girls at a dance class bullied the Southport murderer.

A lot, if not all, of the teen stabbings in Bristol the last couple of years have been gang related, so not about bullies in the way I think you mean, though some kids do get sucked into gangs because of being bullied.

It's difficult to determine the exact number of school shootings in the USA and stabbings in the UK that are directly linked to bullying.

From all accounts the USA shootings are in some way related to the influence of Marilyn Manson and bands like Slipknot, here in the UK it is because they are just a bunch of evil bastrads.

All accounts? Wow.

Rent free Dougie.

The problem seems to be :  We dont know.

Getting to the root of this will take some open thinking but everytime something happen "The guns" or "The knives" are held as the culprit (Or Amazon it seems now)  but they are just the tools, we need to understand the thinking of these people.  What seems to be the issue is that those in power appear to be afraid of opening a can of worms.  So, for the time being, we are stuck sumizing of the cause and kids die.

As for bullying, yup, sure its one cause but not the only one.  Plus it would be really good to find out why some people respond to bullying or violent games (as ust one more example of what needs checking) and others dont.

broken society in terms of two parents nurturing teaching there children, benefits culture poverty, gang mindset of no fear untouchable, no fear of the law or prison sentences erm until they are actually banged up and the fear sets in, cure erm i dont think there is one, death penalty shown live on tv would bring it home to a few.. but they would never show that.

I do think that violence on TV, in films & in video games possibly "normalises" it in the minds of some - probably younger - individuals.

They do say that what happens in America often comes here, but with tighter gun laws knives become the option.

I see my link has been ignored, nothing unusual there, but this won't be the last you hear of it.

Once again, a lack of action from the authorities letting children down.

What did you want us to say about your link?

Just another (almost) everyday ocurrence. Later report said it was an argument over text messaging.

It is emerging that the school had adopted a lockdown for similar threatening behaviour involving a knife the week before. The police have become very tight lipped when asked whether the person charged was known to them or had been "spoken to" regarding carrying a knife previously.
