Travel insurance post cancer treatment

I am asking for a friend who has just finished treatment for breast cancer. Do you know of any good insurance companies for travel cover - short trips and holidays?

Hi , i had a similar problem with travel insurance, as i have heart problems, in fact i have had two bypasses, I used to get insurance from age concern , but after my second bypass they didn't want to know, unless i took european single trips, and even then at quite a premium, but quite by chance when trying to insure a different car I had bought, I was negotiating a car policy through the RAC,after this was done the advisor asked if there was anything else he could help with, and after telling him my situation, he promptly offered me annual worldwide multitrip cover, at a very good price, that was over a year ago ,and i have just this last week renewed it again, so it may be worth a try,

I had surgery and chemo for cancer seven years ago and have never had problems with obtaining travel insurance. You must tell the insurer in advance but at worst they will exclude cover for any claim relating to the cancer.

Thanks so much for the advice - she has now got cover from RAC direct - she phoned and said the girl was very helpful, even though her initial call got her through to the over 70s branch. She still has quite a few miles to go!
