hiya ive jus passed my test and was wondering wat car or cars are best for insuring?? at the moment my lowest quote is �1600 for a 1.1 fiat punto and i have pass plus! any ideas????

Try getting quotes with a parent on the same insurance. I have just re-newed my car insurance but added my 17 year old daughter (who is still a learner). Both Quinn and Elephant.co.uk came out at around �500 for the year. With elephant though, I did have to add hubby too (but that's okay because he has more patience to teach than I do). It will cost slightly more if you pay by direct debit as you have to enter a credit agreement and interest is charged. The good thing about Elephant is that all named drivers earn their own no claims. You'll find confused.com useful.

My son aged 19 has just passed his test and has got a punto 1.2. Insurance is horrendous so we have had to settle for 3rd party fire and theft. Cheapest we found was Endsleigh.
