I've never heard of such a thing in my life! If you've had auto insurance and then sell your car, or move out of the country, your no claims bonus is carried over for up to two years.

No, you can 'step off the boat' and buy insurance immediately...all they need is the details of the vehicle and your name and address.... pricing is another issue..

best of luck

Your earnt 'no claims discount' may have a shelf life depending on which insurer you speak to when it comes to getting re-insured.

most are typically 2 years, any longer and you may have to start your no claims discount from scratch.

the bit about 'some kind of test', as the vicar says, it's cobblers.
