I'm just curious.
Last year when I got my car insurance quotes when I added a named driver it became cheaper. This year when I REDUCED my excess it became cheaper. Can anyone explain why?

Could be down to a few things - maybe there was a change in underwritiing strategy from your insurer, your a bit older, if you didnt claim then your no claims bonus would have gone up etc etc... i wouldnt question why, just be glad that is has gone down!! For what its worth though, i wouldnt have thought that reducing your excess resulted in the reduction in premium...
