HELP!do i need car insurance to drive on private propery

i was recently in a car accident in the privatly owned land i work on.i live on the land to so only use the car to drive throught the estate.at the time of the crash i was uninsured.i was under the inpression i did not need car insurance to drive on this land .am i right in thinking this.

A supermarket carpark is private land but you must observe the usual laws such as insurance and seatbelts.
If the general public are not allowed on to the car park then you don't need insurance.
You are personally liable for the costs as you were driving. The landowner may be sued but he could in turn sue you to recover the costs. Alternatively, you could be sued directly.
