checking out car insurance and have a very good quote from Quinn Direct, not a company I had heard of before.

Has anyone had any dealings with them?
Are they helpful and efficient when required?

Many thanks

duh! why didn't I think to google them!

Thanks redcrx, will tread very carefully. My son is just starting to learn, so the points on premium hikes are very valid. Will establish premium assuming he passes, and then decide.

Cheers
try adrian flux insurance. they can be pretty good.
have had my policy, with them for 3 yrs ,no probs at all.
Quinn are the largest insurers in Southern Ireland, and are making in-roads in this country by charging stupidly low premiums to get a quick customer base (liek Swift).

One of the guys who used to work for us has gone to Quinn - they're no better or worse than any other insurer in all honesty, apart from their more ''aggressive'' style of dealing with claims.

An interesting point is that all their claim handlers are essentially self-employed, working on a commission type basis for every claim they deal with, and most work from home.
Be really careful about Quinn. "Buy cheap, buy twice" and all that.
