If you have been convicted of a crimanal offence why are you noy allowed to get house insurance?

You are allowed to get house insurance but the insurance companies don't want you.

Insurance works on trust. You give them money and trust they will pay it when you have a claim.
They take your money and trust you won't make false or dishonest claims.

To cut their risk, they don't like insuring criminals who obviously have a track record of not living by the rules.
Ethel is right - but an experienced broker may be able to help you get some cover - if infact that is what you want.
