Hi, does anyone know if Private healthcare insurance also covers pregnancy and childbirth?

I think we have a Platinum package with Axa PPP but cannot locate the policy, because partner just loses things.

Thanks

Thanks Bednobs, we just called them and they said no, childbirth isn't covered, although they didn't mention it would be after 3 years. We only joined about 6 months ago anyway.
We are with Axa ppp - and have been for a number of years now - but recently they are starting querying every appointment that is made - in fact I checked with them before I made my appointment for a bone scan, and was told I was'nt covered because it was a follow up appointment and not a diagnostic one.

They are getting really picky now.

My advice - always check with them first.
my understanding is they dont, its like insurance only covers things that are unforseen,
yes i know pregnancy can fall into that catagory but they dont look at it like that.
A friend of mines wife miscarried and even that wasnt covered just ended up in the local A & E.

In my opinion Healthcare insurance does not included pregnancy and childbirth. For more details about healthcare & other insurance log on this following site.
