Extracare Insurance
4 years ago I had a new kitchen fitted from MFI and took out a 5 year insurance on the cooker extractor fan. Now the thing has packed up as did MFI, but I wondered if when you insure a product with a company like MFI, Curry's etc, if the insurance is with them or an insurance company but I don't know how to find this sort of information, I can't exactly phone MFI to ask them :-)
The certificate of insurance is called extracare but there is no phone number on it.
Just wondered if you may know if I might as well forget about it and buy a new one?

Dennis' link is incomplete - this is what he was trying to show you.

You will note that you should have received an insurance certificate from one of three insurers used by MFI. Without it, you are probably stuck.
Fortunately cooker extractors have little inside them to go wrong - it's either the switch or the motor.

Thank you buildersmate,I was able to find the site that Dennis suggested and I have written to them for advice. I do have the insurance certificate which is valid until 2011 but it's interesting to know that there is little inside them to go wrong but if I were to have to choose between the switch and the motor, I would definitely say the motor.
