we are pensioners and i have driven on my husbands policy since 1973. Anybody know who I can insure with in my own name and still get some bonus. never had a claim. last I tried was several hundred more.

Insurance is rising all the time. Its difficult to find cheap insurance. I recommend you to try comparison websites like http://theycompare.co.uk , http://gocompare.com , http://comparethemarket.com etc

thanks but they always ask how much bonus not how many years accident free. thats the problem
Why not try the husbands insurers, they at least know you and may offer a good deal?
and don't forget that some insurace companies aren't on comparison websites, such as aviva and direct line.

tried that last year but I had to fill in my own application so I was back to square one. just wondered if anybody else had found this. I can still stick as second driver but he doesnt really want to drive much anymore and shud the worst happen and i'm left on my own I shall still have to start again. thanks everybody
sorry but how can you get a no claims bonus if you have not had an insurance policy of your own?There is no records of your driving only your husbands policy even if you are on it
thats the benefit of having your own insurance and not being on someone elses policy.
