anyone know the law regarding facepainting and insurance?
i have a crb check but as yet no insurance...
do i have to have it? or is it just if i want it?
not really sure why id need it to be honest...the paints are hypoallergenic and designed for kids, so and allergic reaction is very unlikely, but also wouldnt really be my fault - is it? surely it is up to the parents to check the content of the paints with me first if they arent sure?
not sure what other reasons id need insurance really?
thanks

Public Liability insurance is in your own interests. The CRB check says that you are a suitable person to be working with children, but insurance covers you against the sort of thing count suggests, or someone having an unexpected allergic reaction. Worth its weight in gold - some locations (certainly council premises) might not allow you to work in thier property without production of a certification of PL cover.
