warning
I have been working as a Graphic Designer for 2 years now, after gaining a BA (Hons). Anyway experience is obviously better than qualifications as the more experienced people there never went to uni but are on better money and also get the "better" jobs.
The thing is I know I am valued as when i handed in my notice the boss immediately gave me a raise (quite a decent jump too)
My point is, I have had a written warning in the past for making a mistake (quite a big one i might add) and then have made a couple of minor ones recently,
My boss had a go at me today saying he gets the feeling im not concenttrating and that if one slight thing goes wrong again I will be out.
This scares me, and I feel like Id have to find a foot in the door again which was hard enough first time round (although I have 2 years exp now)
I just want to know should I quit before I get sacked? It would look awful on my cv to not have a reference and say I have been sacked, but I know my line manager would give me a reference (the main boss prob wouldnt give a reference)
Would it harm my employability if future employers knew I had been sacked? I can justify my mistakes to a point, as they weren't entirely my fault.
cheers in advance
