Im due to start the teaching assistant nvq level 3 course this month, but dont know now if its the right decision. I want to be a primary school teacher but dont have a degree and want to know the quickest route to take considering that im 24 years old and the qualifications i already have (TA NVQ2, 11 A-C GCSE's and an A Level in art) Thank you.
Access courses are for people who don't have the relevent qualifications to a degree, and there are lots of different ones - Access to Nursing, Access to Law, and theres an Access to Teaching one.
Doing this course would probably get you a place onto a teaching degree.
It's definately worth looking into. I'm starting a nursing degree soon and alot of the students who are over 20 have done access to nursing courses.
