Universities that take general studies

Hi becca, I don't think many universities accept this course anymore. Your best bet is to find a few courses you are interested in, then have a look at the university website directly for entrance requirements. Most will probably indicate the courses taken at A'level (or equivalent) that they advise for entrance onto the degree.

No DECENT Uni's will accept General Studies, simply cos it's a doss subject.

In fact you're probably better off dropping it all together and concentrating on your other subject and putting in the effort you'd put in to GS, then maybe getting higher grades.

GS is a crappy subject which nobody takes seriuously, fair enough you may be forced into it by some colleges but you don't have to TRY in it. If you get a crap grade, just don't declare it!

Sorry but they are rather pathetic answers given to a rather intelligent question.
Hi becca,first let me say that the idea that universities are stopping accepting general studies is quite frankly stupid as the course has not been around in many colleges long,and secondly 1/3 of british universities currently accept it,with more on the way to doing so.
I would say that you should contact the universities you wish to attend and ask them as each one will havea different answer.Also what the people here are saying is partly true....general studies is easy....and if its so easy to pass then why not do it as an insurance policy to ensure you meet the grades you need.I personally know the uni i am to attend accepts it and this has made my life alot easier.Good luck hunni x feel free to mail me on [email protected]
