Hello, I'm doing an assignment and having trouble referencing an in class handout.
It is a photocopy of a page from a book - I know the name of book and the authors but no other info such as page number or date of publication / publisher.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

By law, a copy of every book published in the UK (including those which were originally published overseas) has to be sent to the British Library.

That means that their catalogue should list details of every title ever published in this country (including the date and publisher).

Click 'Search the Integrated Catalogue' here:

You could put the name of the book and the author/authors, on here, someone might just have a copy. But even if you find the book, how are you going to recognise which is the page you require.

Thank you both for your replies.

Useful info Chris, I found the year and publisher from using your link.
It's also worth knowing for any future referencing.

A fellow student has been in touch with our tutor so hopefully I will get a page number.

Thanks again
