I am a serving Police Officer and wish to develop my skills through further education. I am interested in psychology and criminology and have been looking on the net to see what courses would give me a recognised qualification at the end of the day. Most are expensive, as well as me doing this work on my days of,f so I want the time and effort to be worth something, not just a printed card saying course completed! Thanking you if you take the time to reply, kind regards,
Kelly, in Scotland

i don't know your field of work so its difficult to give a definitive answer.

Firstly is the qualification you would get recognised in your profession

Does it add to your knowledge base.

Is this "saleable" in terms of your proffesionable status. There is also an arguement that no knowledge is wasted
Many employers will assist with courses by helping with fees and allowing time off for exams etc. The Police should be happy to give you help as you will be improving your work skills. Why not ask them?
