Do you mean -3 multiplied by 2 ?

In which case the answer is -6/

try to be a little clearer when asking questions.
Can you be more clear? From what you've put I'd say:
add it up, take away 2 and multiply the answer by 3
I'm a bit of a dunce at maths. I get 5,
If you mean -3 x 2, then the answer is -6. However the product is what you get having done the calculation, so I am confused.
Oh see - if you mean -3 X 2 then it is -6 as Azalian said
you are also having difficulty explaining it clearly
We're assuming it's a Maths question and not some word-association thingy.

Negative numbers! question is sum minus 3 product 2
Sorry on my first answer I got the 2 and 3 the wrong way round. Are you there to give more info?
Oscarina, I still don't understand. as stated the question makes no sense!
minus 3 product 2 is -6 but where does the word 'sum' come from?
sounds like a Banker's question to me - start with giving out a loan of 3 and with exorbitant fees and interest it becomes + 2 in about a month, the financing having come from the UK or US Treasury
There ya go ...

Translation of question? I have a calculation; I want to multiply minus three by two. Answers please. (Mine is minus six).
I could have told you the answer aout 40 years ago.
Unfortunately many ( even well-educated) people use the term 'sum' to mean any mathematical calculation, even though we all know that it can only be the result of addition, as opposed to difference, product and quotient. If the question is 'what is the product of -3 and 2?', then the answer is of course -6, as has been stated many times above.

Sorry for any confusion, helping with homework, maths not my favourite subject -3 product 2 two number answer
I think the two ''numbers'' you require are

-

and

6

-6
I think you want two numbers which:
(a) when added together give -3
(b) when multiplied together give 2

The answer is -2 and -1
if you mean

sum: x + y = -3
product: x * y = 2

then the 2 numbers are -1 and -2
