Hello,

I was asked the following two questions at a recent job interview:
"What do you like least about this job" and "Are you proud of yourself"?

I would like some advice on how to answer such questions and have you any other examples of tricky interview questions and your responses to them?

Thanks for your replies.

trickiest: where does your current boss think you are today
I went for an interview once, the tricky question was. "If I asked you to get me a ladder, how would you get it?"
Marval how is that trickey, or am I just being a bit slow?
Least like about job ' The unnecessary e.mails received, that one has to plough through before you can get on with the real work.

Proud of myself when I surpass all targets
Well the idea was I couldn't just go to a ladder shop. I was expected to ask all sorts of questions first, about size of ladder, what it was for. Then I had to decide which ladder would be appropriate for the job in hand. They seemed to think it would confuse people. Maybe I was, I didn't get the job.
I really hate it when they ask your bad points. What do you say... that you're crap at getting up in the morning? :P

Oh, and once I got asked "if you were a color, what color would you be, and why"? odd.
I suppose that because ive used ladders a lot in the past I wouldn't think twice about it, but I can see where you are coming from.
I wasn't expecting it Ratter, I must say. My husband was once asked, "If you could be an animal, what would it be and why?"
I've been asked that one, bednobs - as if you are throwing a sickie to get to the interview....

The proud question is odd. Proud's not a word I would use about word achievements - satisfield, yes, glad, yes, pleased with outcomes, yes - but proud? - no, I'm only doing my job, and if I have a reputation for doing it well, that gives me satisfaction. I guess the expression is "pride in a job well done". It's not an adjective which I would apply to myself!
