The local Uni no longer supply them with the academic gown. In these litigious times they probably think it's better to be safe than sued by somebody hit by a flying board.

It's £80 to hire one for the ceremony. And if it's not returned the graduates are sent a bill for £200. Cartwheeling would risk damaging them. Gawd knows what they'd charge to mend a tear.

On the latest of "World Craziest Fools" on BBC Iplayer there is a Uni Graduate that does a funky little dance and ends up falling flat on her face. Well it made me laugh!

I thought the plural of Inuit was Inuit

Innuit can be spelled with two Ns, if that's any help to you P/P :-)

"Collins" says the plural is either Inuit or Inuits , Peter. It's Inuit for me; I do wish the editors didn't pander to ignorance ! :)
