I want to apply for this postion to launch a career in finance and accountancy, for this post i have to send a CV and covering letter - can anyone give me any ideas to what should say to why I want to go into finance and accountancy ?
I have never done this kind of job before and i am desparate for a decent job. The vacancy advert says "....ideal for a change of career to finance and accountancy."

Please help as I would be asked this at the interview (why you want to go into finance and accountancy?)

Well if you are going to be successful you need to talk up your relevant skills, either educational or vocational. For example you would need to be numerate, organised, have a good attention to detail so say that these are your strengths and that you could apply and utilise them well in the field of accountancy and finance. You could say that you are ambitious and would like to progress within the company as your long term goal is to become - x or y. If the job is dealing with financial products state that your family etc are keen on investing and that this has rubbed off on you. Furthermore do some research on the company and utilise your knowledge in the interview. Good luck!.
show yourself to be methodical, sensible, mature and with ambition. say you are a logical person and feel a career in finance would suit you
