Due to pull a sicky??? It's an obligation to do them now??
Pulling a sickie and getting away with it is a fine art! Food poisoning is always a good one as totally unprovable! Also you can say that your flatmate/partner/family (whoever you live with) were ill too so as to back up your story.

Death is never a good eccuse as you have to remember your colleagues think they are dead!

Taking an ill pet to the vet is a great eccuse too!
Just tell the truth... Workshy.
Migraine! They can only last one day sometimes so you could be back in work the next day
I usually go with gastrointerites - sickness and diahorrea or a migraine if you are known to suffer from them
As an alternative to sickies (though I don't know what rules you have at work re getting paid etc) pull a domestic of some sort. a few weeks ago I used a flooded kitchen, and way before that, I couldn't lock my front door.
i once lost my specs couldnt see my way to work wouldnt be able to see my screen at work basically id have been useless, boss agreed took 4 days off got drunk wearing my spare set , you got to be a four eyes for it to work though. lol
Back problems has to be a good one. Even a doctor can't actually see the symptoms, it can flair up one day and then be fine the next, if you do any kind of manual work there is always a question as to whether your employer was responsible so they're unlikely to pry to much and best of all it can be a recurring problem.
