Pro rata refers to a proportionate salary of the overall salary based on how many hours you do.
So, given your example, there are a couple of things you have to guess:
Assume the annual salary is 16,000
Full time hours set at 40 hours per week
You would take 16,000 divide it by 40 and multiply by 18.5. = 7,400.
