Removing sideshoots from tomato plants in glass houses in a nursery smallholding. Every evening I returned home with my hands stained bright yellow, and my clothes likewise covered with yellow stains which couldn't be removed. By the time I ended the job I really felt I'd earned the paltry sum I was being paid. But it certainly taught me the value of money.

I had no choice but to halt the fun and games as they were in the pubic lounge on Christmas day in front of othere residents, relatives and young children... so sorry, very cool in this instance to stop them.
They could and did 'get it on' in their own rooms, we used to know when they were having fun as they always left the door open and a small audience would gather outside.
they were aged 90, 84 and 91 so not a pretty sight for anyone but themselves ;- )

Worked in a fish factory in school hols as a teenager for �2.50 per hour. I was shelling prawns and it STANK!! Good banter with all the workers though it was good fun.
