Should we pay her more?

We have a cleaner who comes every week for 5 hours.She is so pleasant,always cheerful and doesn't just clean but irons our clothes and washes the dishes etc. She is from Romania originally and is trying to make ends meat here in the UK. I asked my girlfriends how much she pays her per hour and my gf said she gets �5:50 per hour (which is the minimum wage and more then the average Eastern European immigrant gets).However I think she should get more. She is so lovely and works her socks off every hour she is in our house. Never taking a nap or coffee break.What do you think?

I know she's asked some very bizarre questions in the past & it's quite clear what some think of her, but I personally only answer questions where I see fit.

P.S. As I say, I've noticed some very bizarre questions on here & if I feel they are a wind up, I ignore them.

My gf is a paediatrician but she earns more money then everage because she speaks on behalf of paediatricins for the media and writes books on how to bring up your children and writes for newspapers too.

She used to be when she was younger.She worked for the National Geographic magazine but gave up when she finished her training.

oh and minimum wage is �5.35 an hour, not �5.50
