I am a member of a union but my rep is on sick leave. Can I ask advice from the rep of another union

You can ask but whether they'd give it is another matter - bear in mind you pay fees to your union; why would another union give advise for free.

You could try it though - a gesture of good will wouldn't be unheard of, I'm sure. Alternatively, contact your union's head office and ask to speak to someone in the absence of your rep.
You need to contact your union's local or head office and ask their advice.
