worried part time worker

Hi.
I have been a part time worker with the same company for the last four years, and i need to have about a month off to recover from fairley major surgery. and i am not sure of my rights (if any) regarding time off and sick pay, any help most welcome.

It depends what your company policy is for sick pay. Some places don't have it and you only get SSP, some pay full pay for so long and then half pay. You need to check your contract.
