Good morning. How are you this pea souper morn. Well it is here and horribly damp. My hair was sticking to my forehead and my eyelashes were dripping by the time I got to work. Nice cuppa now before I start though. Cheers
Where is everyone this morning ? especially the usual early Abers ? Have they fallen off the edge of the world ?

where are you oth? dry and only a bit misty here - just going to put the washing out but have an importanty letter to write first.
Morning folks.xx

It's heckuva foggy out there !
Hi Lady J Im in East Yorkshire. right on the coast. Putting your washing out. You must be joking ! or teasing us.

Hi Alba. Did you have a nice lie in this lovely foggy morning
Some of us live on the very edge of this little country of ours.

We can sometimes just slip off the edge, and float out to sea - especially when the pebbles are wet.

It's all a bit precarious.

But I'm here now, clinging on to a leg of the pier, and waiting for the tide to go out so that I can scramble back on to dry land.

Well, not "dry" land, obviously. Not if the tide's just gone out. But you know what I mean.
Hi TOH, been up at the usual time and playing internet ping-pong as well as having to reboot the pc twice! grrrr

Brian Cox doesn't know how many pebbles are on Brighton beach, I thought he was a clever man too :)
It's 328. I counted them on Saturday.

hi you all. no not teasing. looks like it's going to be a bright and sunny day down here.
jj i'm right on the coast but no pier to cling to would just float out on the atlantic. . . . . .
If he's on twitter, I'll let him know.

The only problem is I'm not on twitter.

I thought you'd have better things to do on a Saturday JJ x
Morning all, at work so only a quick glance every so often, Alba did you get your eye sorted yesterday?
Youre on the coast too Lady J. Whereabouts ? We dont have a pier either. All amusements are along the seafront. Awful. I keep away from the town centre and seafront whenever possible, especially in summer.
That's why I stopped counting at 328, Alba.

Okay, I actually stopped at 8. I estimated that there were about 320 more.

LadyJ ... no breakwater or anything to grab on to?

You might have to grab a passing dog (assuming that where you are, like where I am, most dog walkers take their dogs to go to the loo on the beach).
morning moonie, the eye cream has also sorted my hearing problem.
LOL.
Oh, TOH ... I could never keep away from the seafront.

That's like having a custard cream and not eating the creamy bit in the middle.

Not that I have much choice.

My flat is ... err ... how many murderers and rapists are on AB at this time of day?

Let's just say ... I can see the sea from my window.
hehe don't blame you JJ

We're not on the coast but I always seem to go into town whenever there's some sort of "thing" going on, can't be doing with the kerfuffle.

Using a pulic beach for a dog's loo, ugh, they ought to be shot.

toh and jj we live on the lizard peninsula in cornwall. dogs not allowed on the beaches between april and october thank goodness. people who would coop in a park but not on a beach puzzle me. we have doggie poo waste bins near the beaches but don't know how often they are used as we don't have a dog.
our cottage is completely surrounded by farm land so there are plenty of animals to watch including the farm dogs and cats. don't need our own. sorry for you but it really is going to be a lovely day today.
The Lizard Peninsula?

Crikey ... that's remote.

That's almost in America.
Good morning all, We take our dogs for a run on the beach every day along with hundreds of other people but you would be hard pushed to find a cleaner beach, very rarely will you see dog poo on the beach.
However you do find a whole array of mess left by humans!!
