local courier services is a scam
23 Answers
I know it's common sense nowadays but just a heads up, really.
I'd applied for a job advertised on indeed.co.uk for www.localcourierservices.net. Got an e-mail couple of days later, looked convincing until the bit where they were asking for £75 to 'complete activation'. Did some 'investigating' (including http://whocallsme.com...#p244676132604988087, and Companies House website - surprise, surprise, it's not registered).
I've reported it to Google too as when you google 'local courier services', they're in the top 3, if not top.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.UK COURIERS; we were caught with this scam as well, but i got my refund of 2 payments at last i cancelled to be on the data system before 30 days early enough got promises after promises in numerous phone calls to them contacted the bank, got my second payment which was taken out unauthorized cancelled my bank card so no more money can be taken out. reported it to fraudstoppers, nothing was done. sent Bill W club and email. they are in partnership with UK COURIERS ( i am sure they don't know what has been happening)
I would like to add my comments to the uk courier scam
Joining their data base last july and (foolishly) paying up front £70 this payment appearing on bank statement to DYNAMIC ADVERTISING i then awaited leads for jobs (again foolish)after 21 days of no luck decided to contact company email address to cancel and request refund, after 2 emails and 1 phone call with no reply to either said to myself alan youve lost £70 and let it go (again foolish)5 months later i finally smelt a rat when a further £70 was taken from my account this time from a BILL W CLUB based in sligo ireland so anyone having only paid one payment beware they will take another in approx 5 months
Actions i have taken since
I visited my bank who initially were more than helpfull but said try to find out more about this payment and then get back to us
Luckily then my daughter appeared whos a wizz on these probs so we spent the next 2 hours on the net the results being these comments on answer bank and the rehab unit in ireland and the guy in derby which progressed to
1) Phone your bank fraud department number available via google inform them of any irregular withdrawals from your account,
Result issued with a new bank card number immediate return of second payment to my account they will also forward you paper work to assist them in recovering your first payment if proved to be a scam/fraud
I will also visiting the police, trading standards ,the media, watchdog to inform them of this scam
good luck all lets close this b****** down
