I want to become a Spanish teacher, but as I am a self-taught speaker I have no official qualifications. I want to do an A-level as I believe I am already beyond GCSE level and this would be a waste of time. A) Can I get onto an A-level course without any prior qualifications, and B) If not, where can I study Spanish as a night-class in the West Midlands / Birmingham area? All help greatly appreciated.

Contact one of the A Level examination boards for a copy of the syllabus. You can get the EdExcel one from their website: http://www.edexcel-international.org/sfc/pub/gce/mfl/

Once you are sure you have all the areas covered, why not ask your local college if you can take the exam as a private candidate?
