Or drop in to the front desk of the admin department. There is a chance researchers will need help in typing up their work and it may be more useful for you to do it for them rather than their phd students.

Equally it's possible you could work as a aide for severely dyslexic students either taking notes or typing up notes for them.

However, I am unsure of your actual skills. What sort of copy-writing are you used to?
I have replied on the other thread, connemmara. Good luck! http://www.theanswerb.../Question1052988.html
The trend nowadays is to send recorded data down the line to typing agencies in India and receive them back within 24 hours word perfect..and just download them from your computer. Cost is a pittance. Sad but true.
I can't find your Chatterbank post, but I assume you're looking for typing/word-processing work?

Unis and colleges can be a good option because students usually need to present theses and the like in word-processed, bound format. They often lose marks for poor presentation and can often be hopeless at it, so the work is still there.

A good place to advertise is in the student union of the local colleges and unis. They usually have boards in the shop areas where people can post up private ads on cards. You could extend that to local shops that students frequent too.
Hi Connemara,
4 years ago I wanted to type from home but I changed my mind as was offered a different job. However, I did make initial contact with these guys and it all sounded promising - so maybe worth giving them a try:-
