How much do the managers of high street pubs like Wetherspoons, Yates, Hogshead etc get roughly for basic salary?

It depends completely on the level of experience and the size of the pub. My ex boyfriend started as a manager for Hogshead on �22K, but his old boss who went to a second appointment pub was on in the region of �30K. If you worked out the hourly rate that my ex was on though, it was pretty poor. However, he did get accommodation provided. If no accommodation is provided, expect �2-3K extra on the basic salary.

I left the Pub trade 18 months ago to live abroad.

Before then i was on 26k a year plus bonus's with Ember

A good manager can earn that figure again in bonus's & extras.
