Do you want my ticket?? I'll sell it you :-)
I seen him a few year ago and he went on past midnight and by then there rows of pensioners who had long gone-as in left the show rather than this world...

Is his show 'rude'?
Thanks for the offer yelenots but since he's not coming across the border I doubt I'd be able to get down there - I know Scotland has the reputation as a bit of a graveyard for English comics (Des O'Connor fainted at the Glasgow Empire and don't start me on Mike and Bernie Winters!)but I believe we've mellowed and we like a good laugh - who doesn't these days?
I thought he was dead too, but I must be thinking of ken dodds dad's dog....
I went to see him many years ago - the pain I suffered from all the laughing was considerable but worth it. He worked so hard and it was like facing a machine gun - don't know how he manages to keep going at his age. I would go again without a doubt. I remember the show ran longer than expected but no-one in my hearing complained. I am sure you will have a good time, yelenots :)
i said that postdog...theres copyright on that you know lol...........
For heaven's sake surely you can spare a few hours too make your OH happy?

It will be an experience and you never know - you might actually enjoy it
I have heard that the shows go on long past the official finish time. I doubt anyone will be chained to their seats so I would go and leave when you want to.
I saw him many years ago (mid 70s?). He was good but all the pubs were shut by the time he'd finished :(
24 hour licensing these days, chuck
We went to see him the first half of the show was over 2 and a half hours - people next to us had brought their sandwiches with them - even though he was funny we couldn't face another long session and didn't go back in after the interval............ we were glad as apparently it went on until after midnight. He does joke about not letting people go home in the first half!!
I saw him years ago in the RAF in Luqa, Malta.
Was damn funny (and blue too)
he goes on and on - starting with clean jokes and then a little pale blue ones, then a mid shade, bluer and bluer they get and they come so thick and fast you haven't got a cat in hells chance of remembering them. Amazing that he is still going - he must be over or close to 80 now.
