Taking inspiration from Sith's thread, i'm curious to find out what the men on here think about women wearing make-up. Do you prefer the natural look, wearing a little to highlight natural features or a full face everyday?

(i) the former
(ii) I look so good in it....shame we can't put "so good" in italics here.
I much prefer the former too......a woman's beauty is in their real looks and features, not the ones with masses of make up on.

Besides that i'm a "personality comes first" bear. :0)
'wearing a little to highlight natural features' gets my vote

I always say that the mark of a womans beauty is if you still find her attractive without her make-up on

Women you see walking around wearing a face full of slap are doing so for a reason - because they need it. You see them without make-up and they look very plain
I went to work without make up today as I was running late. Most days I just put a bit of lightener on my eyes, mascara and a bit eyeliner and some blush. Lipstick if I remember which is only a shade or so darker on my lips. I only do full make up if I'm doing something I want to look particularly nice for, and even then I prefer it to be quite toned down, I don't like to wear too much make up as I would feel like a clown.
Natural looks highlighted is always the best, however there are probably times when a woman WANTS to go for the full slap look, thats their choice.

I thought these would be the sort of answers..
My everyday make-up routine does sound a lot but it isn't when it is on. If i'm going out I like to do my make-up.. even when I do put a lot on it doesn't look as much as it is how you apply it that counts. I do experiment a lot with make-up, especially for work as it's better to recommend a product to someone if you have it on or have tried it.
From a woman's point of view, I think the art of applying makeup is to apply it so that men don't even know you have any on, but think you are absolutely natural. Most men don't like obvious makeup.

I don't wear any at home, and only mascara and a bit of lippie if I go out. I take more time over makeup if we are going somewhere special, but Mr LL doesn't notice.
But I can't stand foundation! Yuk, yuk, yuk!!

I always wear foundation Lottie! lol.. I think it depends on the kind you use and how you apply it. I use very little, just to even out my skin tone. It's when you see the chavs with the "tide line".. I can't stand that!! Horrible!
TBH, I wouldn't mind what guys prefer. If I wear makeup it's for me, not for OH or any other fella.

Oh I agree Boxtops.. I was just wondering what the general feeling was. I love make-up too much to give it up for anybody! haha
I've worn a fair amount of make-up every day since I was about 16. I've never gone short of men either ;-)
I wear a bit of make up every day. I wear foundation (I seem to have the opposite prob to most people, that mine never shows!), I have to wear mascara (I'd feel naked without it) and lipstick. I sometimes wear blusher and I never wear eyeshadow as I'm rubbish at applying it and no colour suits me.

Anyway, I think my husband likes a bit of make up on me/women in general. It's just an extension of getting dressed, in my opinion. I think it looks like you make a bit of effort with yourself, rather than just rolling out of bed.

P.S I'm too ugly not to wear make up!
LOL, I just roll out of bed, and put on a bit of lippy.

Oh i'm the same with mascara! I wouldn't go out the door without it! As for my usual make-up I wear a little foundation, neutral eyeshadow with my gel eyeliner flick, mascara, translucent powder and blusher. :)
I always like to wear a bit of makeup, not heavy stuff, but I feel better with lippy and mascara. One day I was late for work and had to go without any on I felt awful without it and one or two asked if I was ill.
(i) Loftie has it - talk to Chanel/Mac artistes and that is the aim - totally natural looking, not looking like you are a Mr Kiplings cake.

(ii) Agree with Yogi. Don't put yourself down, MC, beauty is in the brain and personality not the make-up.

Though a nice pair of not-too-over-large boobs and a shaven...........do help. Says he.

This looks like my everyday make-up apart from the false lashes and my flicks are a tad smaller :)

I don't wear make-up or own any. When I was working it was too much effort as I didn't have the time in the morning and now that I don't work, there is little point (I have always been of the opinion that it is much easier to maintain low standards).
The bare minimum really, sort of less-is-more kind of thing.
